Is Success University’s Income Potential Too Good To Be True?

I’ve been sending email promos about the income potential with Success University.

Many have asked “Is Success University a Scam?” or “This website I went to said Success University is a Scam”….

There are definitely some seemingly outrageous claims of Success University’s simple system of building your monthly commission…Is earning $80,000/month with Success University too good to be true?

Not everyone has all the time in the world to do heavy marketing on the internet. Our training page gives a bunch of ways to promote online. If any of it confuses you, the best thing to do is keep it simple. I’ve been working on a new idea to help everybody on the team understand that we are not alone, but we work together.

Let’s look at why I am sold on this system, and how everyone can succeed as long as they teach others this little formula. It is the power of duplication.

Consider making a goal to enroll 10 people within the next 6 months. This will qualify you to earn lifetime commissions (after 6 enrollments), and you will be qualified as a counselor (after 5 enrollments). To make 10 enrollments within 6 months, that means you will enroll around 1-2 people each month. If you keep that same pace, and teach your downline to do the same, the results are amazing.
Take a look at this example:

In your first 6 months, you enroll 10 people (1-2 per month)

1 + 10 = 11 people in your organization after 6 months

Now, you will teach your team members to do the same, and for the next 6 months, you personally enroll 10 more. Remember, that’s only 1-2 people each month.

1 + 10 = 11 <——–number of people who will enroll 10 in the next 6 months, including you

You and each person on your team (11 people) enroll 10 people each

11 x 10 = 110 people in your organization after 12 months

While you may like to have more people in your organization after 1 year, watch what happens after this system duplicates upon itself another 6 months.

You and each person on your team (110 people) enroll 10 people each

110 x 10 = 1100 people in your organization after 18 months

With that amount of people on your team, you can be earning a healthy career-like income each month after 18 months of kick-back effort!

I think you’re seeing the pattern now. If you can get your downline to enroll 1-2 people each month by showing this system to them, and if they stick to it, you can count on multiplying your downline x10 every 6 months. This is an important thing to point out when people get discouraged that they’re not enrolling 50 people per month. “I’ll never make $4,000 a month with this program because it’s too hard to enroll 600 students!” people think.

But it’s not! Everyone with Success University needs to know how this works so we can work as a team and not all on our own efforts. The key is to stick with it, and never give up. And finding 1-2 people each month is easy! Especially on the internet.

If you are marketing online, you can shoot for the goal to have 100 people opt-in to your lead capture page per month (3 leads per day), then you should be able to keep this goal. Remember, your lead capture page is:

The more you lead to this page, the more will sign up.

Now you can understand how huge the commissions can be if you were to enroll 10, 20, or 50 people each month, and teach them this very simple system!

Three Inner Secrets of Internet Success

In only a few short months I’ve achieved the ultimate Internet “fantasy” of making a lot of money from a simple (almost primitive) web site that runs itself virtually on complete autopilot. Starting from scratch I banked over $51,351.94 my first 6 1/2 months online, just working part-time out of the corner of my living room.

Now today at age 31, I’ve gone on to earn over 7-figures.

How did I go from a standing start to banking mega profits?

To do that, what I think you really need are these inner secrets to mega internet success. This has nothing to do with search engines, pay-per-clicks. It doesn’t have anything to do with any of the tactical stuff. It’s all a lot of stuff that goes on in your head.

* Secret #1: Cheerful Expectancy *

One of my biggest mentors is Earl Nightingale. He passed away several years ago but you need to get everything he recorded at Nightingale.com. He has a program called “Lead The Field” and “The Strangest Secret.” Just listen to that thing over and over again. He talks about cheerful expectancy.

There’s a big difference between having expectancy versus hoping or wishing something is going to occur. When you have that cheerful expectancy, you know it’s going to occur. And that doesn’t just come from being “Pollyannaish” or having rose-colored glasses.

It comes from having knowledge. And you get that knowledge from studying in your field whatever it is. It could be Internet marketing or it could be neurology. That means reading, studying and buying everything and absolutely immersing yourself in it.

I learned from Earl Nightingale that if you want to be an expert, you spend an hour a day reading on whatever subject that you’re interested in, that you want to be an expert on. So I said, “Well, what would happen if I read for three hours a day?”

I just started learning as much as I possibly could, and that knowledge gives you the confidence to know that you have that positive expectancy. Your expectations determine your results.

* Secret #2: Do one proactive thing a day *

You don’t need to do 100 things a day. Just get that one proactive thing a day. So each little brick builds a big wall for you. Trust me it’s easy to be overwhelmed with hundreds of tasks. You’re like, “Oh, we need to do e-zine ads and free-for-alls and pay-per-click search engines, and I need to do all this other stuff.” Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

But just relax and do one task a day.

Your action will create more and more and more action for you. You simply need to make a commitment to do one proactive thing a day no matter what. Even if you’re dead tired and worked a 14-hour day - come home and mail one
letter or send out one joint venture proposal. I’m telling you - just these little tiny proactive things will have an immense impact.

Most everyone has heard of the ‘80/20 rule’ or the Pareto Principle. It says that 20% of your actions produce 80% of your results, and the other way around. 80% of your work only creates 20% of your results.

So go back and look where your successes came from, and I know that they’re from a tiny little group of actions. So if you just get that one proactive thing a day (from the 20% group) that is going to propel you further, that’s going to bring you to where you want to be.

Make it a point to focus on those “20% activities”. In Stephen Covey’s famous work “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” he calls these activities “important but not urgent”.

One of my Apprentices, Peter Woodhead, from the UK is a perfect example of simply doing one proactive thing a day. A lot of Apprentices bolted out of the gate during our one year program but Peter was an Internet newbie and he also had a full time job so he was a bit slower getting started. However, he took my advice and simply managed to do one proactive thing every single day. No matter how big or how small. It could be writing one autoresponder message or it might have been writing 50 headlines. No matter the day - Peter was moving ahead. And not surprisingly his project was completed before many of the other Apprentices were finished.

* Secret #3: Decision *

This is such a big point. A lot of people have so many problems with decision. That’s because they don’t like it because it cuts off other options. But frankly that’s exactly what you want. You want to cut off other options.

One of our top apprentices, Cindy Kappler, WebAdMagic.com, had no other option but to succeed because she quit her job. Now I’m not encouraging you to do that if you still have a real job but it does prove if you cut off your
options, you’re much more motivated. Successful people make decisions quickly.

There’s a magic of attraction when you make your decision. However, when you’re hemming and hawing, you don’t experience this magic. I don’t want to get into too much woo-woo or metaphysical or spiritual stuff.

But there’s this magic of attraction. I can’t even explain it. When you set your mind up that you’re going to do this, all of a sudden, at the next dinner party
you’re attending you meet somebody that can help you get to where you want to go. Is that luck or is that something else?

I don’t think it’s luck.

It’s like once the decision is made your mind is tuned into the solution and all kinds of ‘freaky’ coincidences and occurrences happen.

And that brings me to another important point about decisions - fail quickly. Don’t be afraid of failure. A lot of people are so afraid of screwing up, or making a mistake that they are forever frozen. Who the hell cares? Screw up quickly! I screw up all the time. And you want to fail quickly.

That’s the great part about the Internet. You want to go out there and find out if your dumb idea is going to work right away. You can do it in days instead of months. Sometimes hours and if it doesn’t work, you move on. You say, “Next!”

Look, I know a lot of people who are working on their products for the last two, three, four years. Get the damned thing out! You just make it better as you go along.

InstantSalesLetters.com, our first product was not where it is now. We’ve added a ton of stuff to it and made it better. But I just wanted to see if the thing was going to sell.

It wasn’t complete and utter rubbish, as my British friends say, but it was enough that it made the point. It found out if there was a marketplace for it. So find out.

Some people like to go around at dinner parties and so on and say, “I’m writing a book. I’ve been writing a book for five years. I’m an author.”

Uh huh…

I can show you 6 different ways to have your book done in days. It’s a cop-out and complete B.S. Bottom line - make the decision to get the product out there. See what happens and fail quickly.

Now get out there and do it!

Autoresponders & Email Lists

Enrollments will be slowing down for awhile. It seems I have reached the threshold with my daily ad that was going out this week.

But that’s okay, because that means I will be sending out to other ezines regularly for the month of June.

Many of you might know from reading through our training page that the most important thing you can do is generate Success University leads by using your email capture pages. http://yourSUid.successuniversity.com/new or http://yourSUid.successuniversity.com/slim. When leads opt-in to your Success University page, Success University will automatically send out promotional emails and do the follow up for you every few days.

However, if you can afford $20/month, I would recommend using aweber.com(aff). On the training page, there is a 15-Day email course posted that you can customize to your own. Using that fast track course has greatly improved the conversion rate of those using it on our team.

Notice how I’ve edited the normal Success University lead capture page and integrated my own aweber email opt-in box:

A great way to get leads is by giving away free marketing books or software that appeal to your target market (i.e. internet marketers), and giving them only after they enter their email address. Then they will get their free item, and you can send them a follow-up Success University promotion telling them how to make extra money online, etc.

Here is an example:

After they enter their email address, they will receive a link to their item in their email (you can set up your aweber autoresponder to do that). If you want to get real savvy about it, promote other products you can sell immediately after they enter their email as a one-time-offer.
Then you can make a little bit of profit or balance any advertising costs.

Where to Place Your Enrollments

I’ve been getting questions about where to place people after you enroll them. First, I want to mention that two on our team, Andrew and Charles, are making enrollments within their first week. Nice. And Nice Work, too.

When you make enrollments, you’re going to want to place them either in your FAR right or FAR left leg. You really have the option of placing them where ever you want, but the far right, far left strategy helps “synergize” the system. That way, everyone below you is getting a fair amount of spillover. If you pick and choose, then your service to other people becomes sort of scattered and inconsistent.

If you have enrolled with me, the people you place in your FAR left leg will get spill over from me (unless you are part of the few in my right leg). The people you place in your FAR right leg will get spillover from you. If you’re on the verge of enrolling anybody for the first time, it might be good to place a member in your far left leg before your right if you do not have a member there already. That way your first enrollment will be benefiting from the spillover I give to you as well. And remember, you have to have one personally enrolled member in each leg to qualify for commissions.

If you haven’t listened to Trisha Smith’s Compensation plan training call that is in your member office, do it so you can understand why this is the best method.

Forums and Solo Ads

Hi SU Team,

I just wanted to let you know that I have just unleashed an ad campaign today that has brought over 700 people to my lead capture page in the last 9 hours. Those numbers should be keeping up for the next couple of weeks.

The name of the ezine I’m advertising in is called Top Surfer. Although the conversion rate is very good, it might not be for any other SU member for a while. I’m sending out one email per day to the list of 26,000 or so, advertising Success University. Here is the capture page I am using:

I’ve beefed-up the normal SU capture page, but have created my own table to show publicly who is enrolling. I’ve never tried this before, but I think it might interest those who are thinking about trying Success University out. It also shows people how much of a potential they have of getting a lot of people below them quickly from my spillover.

Another thing. If you have read Daegan Smith’s Internet MLM Success ebook, first thing he emphasizes is using ad-tracking for your campaigns. With ad-tracking, I am able to tell how many people are clicking my links, or visiting my page. I use Ad Minder(aff). That’s how I know that 700 have visited the Top Surfer Capture page. With 7 enrollments after 700 visits, that’s not a bad conversion rate.

Another thing about the ad-tracking; Just to experiment, I signed up to 5 forums, 4 of which allow a link signature in your posts. After 2 days of posting 1 time in each forum, I received 10 clicks on my lead capture link in my signature box. On adwords, that could cost you anywhere from $2-$10.

I’ve begun to submit 6 articles to multiple directories as well. It’s a little tedious, but I’m starting to see results in the search engines already.

Internet MLM Lead Generation Strategies

Now that MLM is a part of the internet you can find all of the downline you’ll ever need on a worldwide basis. Gone are the akward meetings, speeches, and cold calls. Finding your network marketing leads has never been easier.

Nevertheless, there is still a skill to be acquired to build this “virtual” downline I speak of. The less personal internet-approach can make the recruitment and retention ratio bend to a less favorable zone. So let me lay out some ways to have leads to come to you.

These are long-term downline building ideas, so keep in mind that the results are not instant. You will be working for free for a while. But this is designed in a way that, once you have done the work, it will continue to work for you…The Essence of MLM.

Having your own website is a good idea. It will be your headquarters. On it will be your pitch pages, articles, blog, and whatever else promotes your business. You will want to draw visitors from as many sources as possible. For example:

1. Forums - There are millions of forums that you can post in for free. Find 5 forums in your target market where you can post daily. Your signature will have your website URL in it. Visitors will click on signature links.

2. Ezines - Place Solo Ads in 3-4 appropriate ezines per month. Thousands of targeted people will receive an email advertisement from you.

3. Pay Per Click Ads - Set up a PPC account with Adwords or any other trusted PPC company. Send visitors to your site or lead capture page.

4. Articles - Write and distribute 10 articles a month and stick to it for a year. You’ll be surprised at the results if you stick to this plan. Distribute your articles to ezine directories, then blog and ping. Do this everyday for 3 months, and it will draw traffic for years.

5. Start a Blog or Myspace Page - Social Networking and Community are key to finding people. These types of sites are as close as you can get to having that “personal touch” online.

The moral of the MLM story is this; do everything in your power to have people coming to you. If you follow these internet methods, you’ll never have to force it down anybody’s throat. It’s all ratios in this game. The more you reach, the more will want to know more about what you do.

As you may or may not know, My name is Jim Frick. I’m 24 years old. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico (and yes, that is a part of the U.S. of A.) . So! I’m going to do what it takes to help everybody succeed with this system. Be sure especially to take a look at Daegan Smith’s Internet MLM Success eBook as it gives a top notch road map to building a big downline fast. While your promotional techniques might be much different than his, keep in mind that he had personally enrolled around 400 people within his first 3 months using the internet alone, and after 15 months had built an organization of over 4000 people. While Stone Evans was able to do that in 3 months, Daegan was an average internet marketer who started from the bottom, up.

I will keep this blog updated on upcoming promotions. I had an ezine ad that was supposed to go out yesterday, but there was an error. The good news is, Eva, the ezine lady, is going to give us two ezine ads for missing the scheduled date.

I have a big experiment that is starting May 19th. My goal is to enroll 100 people within a couple of weeks. It may be more, may be less. Either way, I am confident in what’s about to take place.

So here is my advice today:

1. Keep up with this blog. I will post regularly.

2. Read Daegan Smith’s eBook

3. Listen to Trisha Smith’s Compensation Call in your member office if you have not already.

4. Focus on enrolling 6 people.

The reason for this number is because, with 6 personally enrolled members, you are a counselor and also set for lifetime commissions.

I enrolled 6 people my first week using the myspace technique in our training page. While myspace is good for immediate enrollments, it is extremely tedious. I only recommend it for a person with $0 in their advertising budget, and a lot of time. Myspace is making it less and less easy to promote commercially on their site.

I have had very good results with ezines, but also very mediocre results with some. The good has certainly outweighed the bad, however. I will get into more detail with that later. But if you are able to enroll 6 people and teach them to do the same, it can be a very powerful system that will work and duplicate on its own.

I am going to make sure this team is a Success. Financial independence is something I don’t take lightly. I want to help as many people as possible acheive their income goals with SU. Time to rock, mates.
